Biography
South Glens Falls
Maurice Irl McCue, born August 25, 1929 of South Glens Falls, passed away peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital on July 28, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer.
Formerly of Beacon, NY, he moved to South Glens Falls in April 2009 to be near his daughter Jackie Farndell and son-in-law David Thorne.
He loved to build model airplanes and had great interest in World War II history, as his brother Wilber McCue served his country in World War II. He loved anything to do with John Wayne and Hank Williams. Most of all he enjoyed a good game of Yahtzee and Farkle Dice. He was a kind and friendly man who touched everyone he met with his sense of humor and outlook in life.
His survivors include his wife Elizabeth McCue of Poughkeepsie, his daughter Maureen Burgevin and partner Roger Moss of Poughkeepsie, son George McCue and his wife Sharon of Hyde Park, NY, daughter Jackie Farndell and son-in-law David Thorne, his grandchildren, Rebecca McCue, Brian McCue, Jason Farndell and Jocelyn Lawrence.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, August 1st, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 94 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls.
He wished to express his special thanks and admiration most of all to Dr. Eric Pillemer of the Charles R. Wood Cancer Center of Glens Falls Hospital, his assistants Steve and Linda and all of the nurses and doctors on Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles R Wood Cancer Center, Glens Falls Hospital,
