Biography
Waterford- John Christopher Sehl Jr, 48, sadly left this world Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Samaritan Hospital, Troy NY, leaving many with a sense of great loss in their hearts.
As a young boy he played in the Pop Warner Football League and loved to make, and race go-carts. He graduated from La Salle Institute and became a sheet metal apprentice in his father's business, VF Conner Co. He successfully completed various trade programs and continued to work for the company until becoming disabled. John continued to work at several small jobs over the years to remain active and positive. When not working, John enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp in East Berne, NY. He logged hundreds of miles walking throughout the capital region, meeting many people along the way. He made many friendships during his travels, all of whom will miss his bear hug greetings, his smile, and easy going personality.
He is survived by his daughters Rachel and Rebecca Sehl; sisters Joan Kuebler, Patricia (Larry) Mousseau, and his twin sister Mary (Mike) Bushnell; he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John is predeceased by his parents, John and Edna Roth Sehl Sr; and 2 sisters Joyce Spratt and Nancy Jordan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at St. Pius X, 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville, NY. Relatives and friends are also invited to call at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave, Albany, today, July 27, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Our Lady Of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
