Biography
Ernest J. Evans, 66, passed away suddenly at home with his wife at his side, on Monday, July 19, 2010. The son of the late Henry and Ruby Evans, he worked as a Construction Worker for the Labor Local 190, Albany.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Carleen Evans Longmire; children, Ernest Jr. and Fanchon Evens, Tasheba, Kale , Dawan, LeMont, and Jason Johnson; Sisters, Ollie, Beatrice, Clara and Ruby; mother in law, Margie Longmire and deceased father in law Willie Longmire, 3 sister in laws, and 2 brother in laws; 19 grandchildren ;and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, James Henry, Curtis, William Evans and sisters, Margaret and Betty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, July 23, 2010 at Tebbutt & Frederick Memorial Home, 633 Central Ave, Albany, NY. Relatives and friends are also invited to call on Friday from 12 Noon to 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
