Curtis James Johnson 25 passed away surrounded by his loving and devoted family on Thursday March 11, 2010 in Glens Falls Hospital.
He was born in Glens Falls on January 11, 1985 the son of Michael Curtis Johnson and Colette J. Fernett.
Curtis was very much loved by his family; his greatest joy was with Ashley and his newborn son Michael Curtis. He was extremely close to his sisters and was a loving and devoted uncle. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing World of Warcraft, collecting the World of Warcraft cards, hiking at Napa State Park, working on his mini motorcycle, riding his scooter, and anything to do with music; even teaching himself to play the guitar. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Phiona Bella and Ace Knox Johnson.
Curtis worked at The Olive Garden in Queensbury for numerous years as the head cook.
He is survived by his father, Michael Curtis Johnson of Schenectady and his mother and stepfather Colette J. and Fred Fernett of South Glens Falls, his fiancée Ashley Mattison and their son Michael Curtis Johnson of Queensbury, his sister Amber Johnson and her fiancée Chris Husek and their two children Alex and Emma of Glens Falls, his sister, Brittany Johnson and her fiancée Jeff Hoffer and their son Kaden.of Hudson Falls. His paternal grandfather David Elder and his wife Ruth of North Carolina,, and his maternal grandmother Judith Fredericks and her husband Carl of Queensbury, his half -brother Michael Matzen and daughter Kayla of Troy, stepsister Amanda Kernahan and her husband Chad and daughter Abby of Rochester, his two stepbrothers Shane and James Matzen of Troy, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, also survive Curtis.
A funeral service will beheld at 10:00am on Tuesday March 16, 2010 at Regan and Denny Funeral Home 53 Quaker Road Queensbury, burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday March 15, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ashley Mattison to help with the care of Curtis's son Michael Curtis.

Go in peace Curtis, knowing, in your short life, you made a huge difference in this world. You were and will continue to be so very loved by more people than you ever knew. You brought a wonderful son into this world to carry on your good works. Saving those three children by donating your organs earned you a special place next to our Lord. Enjoy your time in Heaven, we will all see you again! Ashley, we know the pain you are feeling, if there is ever anything we can do, even if it is just to sit and listen, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be there for you and Michael as much as possible. To the Curtis' family and friends, there are no words to ease your pain. Remember the good times, they will carry you through this. Curt, I miss you badly buddy. You were takin away from us all way too soon. Your little boy is beautiful, I will never forget the day I became your friend.I will also never forget the day little Michael was brought home and the happiness of both you and Ashley was so overwhelming. You were just so proud of him and her. Just shows in massive amounts the love you had and always will have. Ashley, If theres ever a time that you and Michael ever need a hand,please let me know. Curtis, I miss you very much,and I am so proud of you. In your short life you became 10 times the man I could ever hope to be. It helps so much to know that at this time, you were the happiest you've ever been. You're baby boy is beautiful,he will grow up to be a wonderful young man. I will be starting him young teaching him to play the guitar. I will miss you're exceptional world of warcraft skills. The game won't be the same with out you bud.
