Mary E. Anderson Gillis, 94, of Schenectady, NY passed away on Thursday February 4, 2010 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born on August 7, 1915 in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Griffin Anderson.
Mary lived in Schenectady for many years and was a homemaker.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Gillis whom passed away in 1974; 2 sons, Danny and Kenneth Gillis; and 2 brothers, Charles and Stewart Anderson.
Survivors include her 5 children including, Olivia Gillis DeCarlo, Sharon Gillis, and Patricia Gillis Hindle; daughter in-law, Jung-Ja Gillis; brother, John Duncan (Kaye) Anderson; sister, Olive Cheverie; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
